School Garden

Green Schools Committee

Last week, Tiernan from the  Green Schools came to our school to see do we deserve our 5th Green Flag. Our Green Schools Committee met him and he asked them lots of questions about biodiversity. They gave very good answers and Tiernan was impressed! Then the Committee took him for a tour around the school to show him all our work on biodiversity. He thought our Biodiversity Board was brilliant! Next they took him to see the School Garden. The Committee told him what vegetables and flowers we are growing. Tírnan said our garden was fantastic and that we must do lots of work in it. He also liked our bug hotels. After the tour, Tiernan gave the Committee lots of tips and advice about how we can make our school more biodiversity aware and more things we can do in our garden. He said that he was very impressed and that he was sure we will get our flag! Thanks Tiernan!!!
